Since 1990 we have been operating and maintaining our property as both
our home and a B & B naming it the LANTERN LIGHT INN. As hands on
owners we wear many hats including that of homeowners, Innkeepers, hosts,
cooks, and concierge to name a few. We enjoy and look forward for the
opportunity to meet and serve such diverse guests from all over the
country and from around the world. We hope you, too, will be a guest
here at our home and residence, the Lantern Light Inn, an authentic
bed and breakfast.
With a truly convenient location in the heart of the city our property
is the sole remaining private residence located on Sedona’s main
thoroughfare, Highway 89. Facing Sedona’s most prominent landmark,
6700-foot Thunder Mountain, we are hidden from the street by a 6-foot
earthen mound making us easy to miss when driving by. Our home is on ½ acre
of quiet, private, tree lined grounds reminiscent of a French country
garden with lush foliage everywhere. Five outdoor fountains and outdoor
patios areas and more than 70 lanterns including the 5-foot giant that
landmarks our entryway are situated throughout our property.
Nearby are restaurants, shops, galleries, movie theaters, state parks
and the two vortexes of Cathedral Rock and Boynton Canyon, and some
of the over 200 hiking trails located in the Sedona area. A 20-minute
drive north up 89A is Slide Rock State Park, natural rock formations
in the form of water slides. . The ghost town of Jerome is an easy 45
minute drive. Visit Tuzigoot Indian ruins on the way. Jeep rides, horseback
rides, balloon, airplane flights, fishing , Indian ruins, state parks,
national forest trails, wilderness train rides and scenic splendor await
you here in Sedona like nowhere else. The Grand Canyon is an easy day
trip just 2 1/2 hrs away. Our numerous galleries vaults Sedona to number
five in art sales in the U.S just under Sante Fe. Pamper yourself with
an energizing or soothing massage. We can arrange one for you right
here at our inn.
The Antique Country old world decor throughout our inn is reminiscent
of lodgings in the European tradition. Each of our units has private
bath, refrigerator, TV, VCR and comfortable chiropractic approved
mattresses for a restful night's sleep. The cozy courtyard rooms share
a private
deck accessed through sliding glass doors and overlook an enclosed
private courtyard garden. The beds are queen, king or twin beds. Maximum
two
occupants and no children under 10 years in this wing. Visit our
web site at lanternlightinn.com. Phoenix magazine (July 2001)
has reviewed us in their cover feature article “23 Best Homey
B & B’s
Hideaways in Arizona”. The New York Times in their
travel section article “36 hours in Sedona” (Feb 2007) mentions
both Kris and I by name and lists The Lantern Light Inn as one of four
recommended
places of lodging in Sedona.
In the east wing with private entries off a breezeway, guests may
choose quarters that can accommodate up to four persons (4 beds). The

furnished living room with fireplace, dining room, and spacious fully
equipped kitchen. Out the back door of this suite are deck patio, rock
garden, and pond with waterfall only for occupants of this unit.
